‘Good Friday’s Bespoke Sound Design

This video was made especially to extenuate the raw feeling of speed and freedom. To do this, we scrapped all music and went with in-depth sound design instead. Paddy worked tirelessly rigging up a vast array of mics/foley sounds and precise sound design to create ‘Good Friday’s sound track.
Whack your earphones in and turn it up loud. This edit is all about the raw pace, speed and sound of Downhill Mountain Biking. We recorded the sounds of the bike, the rider and the terrain with a portable stereo mic/recorder. It took us two days just to re-design the sound and an extra two days to edit and create the Foley. We’re really happy with the outcome and believe it gives the watcher the sense that they’re really there, hearing the sounds we know and love from one of our favourite sports.
