‘In The Round’ Sessions. High Quality Live Sound Recording.

The idea behind In The Round was to create some stunning visuals and amazing sounding audio in the great outdoors. To achieve the amazing quality audio the bands deserve, Paddy set out working out the best mic techniques, instrument placement and location scouting to make sure all the elements together. This particular My Octopus Mind session was a particular challenge because of it’s proximity to a fast flowing river, meaning Padd was always battling the continuous ‘hiss’ of moving water. The outcome though was spectacular, achieving close to studio quality audio from a live recording in a forest next to a river.
